General terms and conditions of the Sephora Loyalty Programme
The Sephora Loyalty Programme (hereinafter referred to as the “Sephora Loyalty Programme”) is a Programme managed by “SEPHORA GREECE SA TRADE COMPANY”, traded under the name “SEPHORA GREECE S.A.”, seated in Athens, 7 Dionysiou Areopagitou St., 11742 Attica, Greece, VAT no. 094395700, Tax Authority: FAE Athens, General Electronic Commercial Registry (GEMI) no. 122068801000 (hereinafter "Sephora"). Depending on the purchases made at Sephora, the Programme allows the collection of points (€1 spent = 1 point) and gives access to special promotions and privileges.
The Sephora Loyalty Programme has one level, the Sephora Black Programme.
The Sephora Loyalty Programme provides its members with a physical or virtual loyalty card (hereinafter referred to as the “Loyalty ProgrammeCard”). In the context of the Sephora Black Programme, this is the “Sephora Black Card”,
2. Enrollment in the Sephora Loyalty Programme
2.1 Eligibility for the Sephora Loyalty Programme
The Sephora Loyalty Programmeis intended for persons residing in Greece who have provided specific personal data, as laid down in
Clause 5 of these terms and conditions, “Personal Data”.
The Sephora Loyalty Programme is reserved for persons older than 16 years old.
Sephora reserves the right, at any time, to request any document that proves the identity of the person who wishes to enroll, or who has enrolled, in the Sephora Loyalty Programme, especially in case of duplicate registrations of names.
2.2 Terms for obtaining the Sephora Black card
The Sephora Black card can be issued in all physical Sephora stores in Greece. sephora.frAt the time of enrollment in the Sephora Loyalty Programme, members are requested to enter their personal data in the enrollment form or provide such details to a sales associate at the store. This personal information shall be processed in accordance with Clause 5 of these terms and conditions, “Personal Data”.
Enrollment in the Sephora Loyalty Programme may be registered in the Sephora systems only if the information provided at the time of enrollment is complete and in the form requested and used. Members are responsible for updating information relating to them by notifying the stores. Sephora may under no circumstances be held responsible for failing to deliver a promotion to any member due to outdated or inaccurate information.
Sephora reserves the right to amend, at any time, the terms of issue of the Sephora Black Card.
The Sephora Loyalty Programme Cards are named, personal and are intended for personal, non-business use. They are not transferrable and are not, in any event, payment cards.
Each person (same last name, first name, address, e-mail and/or SMS) may hold only one Loyalty Programme Card and the relevant benefits cannot be combined. Sephora reserves the right to perform any kind of checks to confirm the validity of each enrollment. If Sephora ascertains that the same person holds more than one Sephora Loyalty Programme Cards, the member data and benefits shall be registered only once in one Card and the remaining cards shall be deactivated and the duplicate points and benefits shall be revoked. It is clarified that every member can, at any time, visit any Sephora store in order to update their personal information.
Each member commits to use the Sephora Loyalty Programme in accordance with the provisions of these general terms and conditions. Otherwise, Sephora reserves the right to suspend or terminate the member’s loyalty account, to deactivate or deduct the points from the member’s Sephora Loyalty Programme Card or Cards, in accordance with the provisions of the Clause “Suspension / Deactivation / Loss of points”.
4. Sephora Loyalty Programme Benefits
4.1 For the Sephora Black Card holders
The Sephora Black Card allows its holder, upon presenting it, to collect purchase days and points when purchasing products at Sephora stores in Greece, from the website sephora.gr or the mobile app Sephora Greece (available for iPhone and Android) and to access the Sephora Black Programme promotions.
When the points counter reaches a limit of 150 points (€1 spent = 1 point), members can benefit from a 15% discount coupon, applicable to the next purchase. This strictly personal promotion shall apply only once during the period laid down in the discount coupon, for the entire purchase price (excluding shipping costs) upon presentation of the Sephora Black Card at Sephora stores in Greece, presenting the notification that will have been sent to the member (only one promotion can apply per order) at the cashier’s desk. The said promotion cannot be combined with any other promotion or offer and shall not apply for the purchase of services, books, Sephora gift cards, discounted products, products sold for charity purposes and other exceptions that may be stated at the store, on sephora.gr or on the mobile app Sephora Greece. The said discount coupon may not be transferred or exchanged for cash in any circumstances.
4.2 Common terms for all Sephora Loyalty Programme Cards
Collected points cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
In case of request for reimbursement of cash at a store or when exercising the right of withdrawal on the website sephora.gr or the mobile app Sephora Greece (available for iPhone and Android), Sephora reserves the right to reduce the total points collected on the Sephora Loyalty Programme card by the number of points collected as a result of the purchase of the product for which the cash reimbursement is requested.
You can request information concerning the purchase days and the number of collected points:
- at any store: by asking any sales assistant.
New enrollments and purchases made less than 70 days before the commencement date of any promotion for members of Sephora Black may not be taken into account in the selection of members who will receive that promotion.
The benefits offered to Sephora Loyalty Programme card holders may vary depending on the information transmitted by each holder and the communication preferences set by each holder (postal address and/or e-mail and/or SMS). In this context, it is expressly clarified that eligibility for specific benefits shall be linked to the communications means selected by the member.
5. Personal Data
Collection means Sephora collects personal data related to the member upon enrollment in the Sephora Loyalty Programme at the website sephora.gr, the mobile app Sephora Greece (available for iPhone and Android) or at any store.
This information shall be collected in writing, through the enrollment form, by the sales associate at the store.
Online account data that have not been modified upon enrollment in the Sephora Loyalty Programme shall be considered as an update of the member profile and are intended to be used in the context of the said Sephora Loyalty Programme, in accordance with the terms set forth in the general terms and conditions, as well as the terms of the Privacy and Cookies Policy.
In addition, at any Sephora store, members may link their Loyalty Card with their online account, in order to take advantage of the benefits available on website sephora.gr. Members must enter their Loyalty Card number and, if necessary, complete any missing data or verify specific elements of information that do not match.
Data which is collected The following information shall be mandatory for enrollment in the Sephora Loyalty Programme: title, surname, name, postal address, e-mail or mobile phone number (2 means of communication shall be required for authenticating members, preventing duplicate enrollments and to allow Sephora to send the promotions and the benefits of the Sephora Loyalty Programme). If the said information is not registered, participation in the Sephora Loyalty Programme and receipt of promotions and benefits will not be possible.
Additional information shall be requested by Sephora upon enrollment, in order to get to know members better and, if necessary, to send notifications relevant to their profiles and preferences, but shall not be mandatory.
Retention period Information concerning the members shall be retained by Sephora for a period not exceeding the period required for the purposes for which the information has been collected, namely for the period of participation in the Sephora Loyalty Programme, as well as the legal restrictions applicable, mainly, for purposes of proving transactions and the ability of Sephora to comply with its legal obligations. It must be noted that, provided that customers consent, they may continue to receive personalised offers after they have withdrawn from the Sephora Loyalty Programme.
Recipients Information concerning members shall be transmitted to service providers and subcontractors of Sephora which are involved in the management of the Sephora Loyalty Programme.
Data transfers outside the European Union Sephora makes the members’ data which are required for the Sephora Loyalty Programme available to be used in Monaco, the legislation of which is different from that applicable in the European Union and which, consequently, does not offer equivalent terms concerning data protection. However, this transfer is necessary in order to allow members to use their Sephora Card at the stores in Monaco. Sephora has taken the required measures in order to ensure security of access to and processing of personal data by its stores in Monaco.
6. Rights reserved by Sephora
Sephora reserves the right to amend these general terms and conditions and shall notify members about any amendment via the means considered as most appropriate for this (letter, e-mail, notification of the new general terms and conditions on the website sephora.gr, etc.).
The most recent version of the general terms and conditions of the Sephora Loyalty Programme can be consulted at the website sephora.fr. Consequently, Sephora kindly requests members to regularly consult the website sephora.gr.
Sephora also reserves the right to send personalised promotions to specific Loyalty Programme Card holders. Sephora also reserves the right to amend or suspend the Sephora Loyalty Programme.
It is clarified that in case of final termination of the Sephora Loyalty Programme or complete reorganisation thereof, which entails the loss of current promotions and/or purchase days and/or collected points, members shall be informed by means that Sephora considers as the most appropriate (letter, e-mail or SMS, etc.).
In addition, Sephora cannot guarantee that points and/or purchase days that have been collected and have not been used will be reused in any manner in the context of the changes in the Programme.
Sephora reserves the right not to contact members who are not active in the Sephora Loyalty Programme (namely those members who have not made any purchase for a period exceeding 12 months while presenting the Sephora Loyalty Card) in order to notify them of any possible changes to the Programme.
No amendment, change or repeal of the Sephora Loyalty Programme shall entail any right for compensation to members.
7. Suspension / Deactivation / Loss of points
The Sephora Loyalty Programme is a Programme aiming at providing members with benefits, depending on the purchases they make in any Sephora store in Greece, on the website sephora.gr, or the mobile app Sephora Greece (available for iPhone and Android).
Consequently, if members do not make any purchase with the Sephora Loyalty Car during a period of 18 consecutive months, all collected points shall be lost.
The Sephora Loyalty Programme, furthermore, assumes that members comply with the general terms of the Programme and show good faith behaviour towards Sephora. Consequently, Sephora reserves the right to suspend the Sephora Loyalty Programme Card or even permanently deactivate the Loyalty Programme Card and, if necessary, repeal the relevant benefits in case of any unlawful act of the member in respect of the use of the Sephora Loyalty Programme and/or towards Sephora.
Sephora shall proceed to such suspension and/or deactivation, after notifying said member by the means it deems as the most appropriate to this end, without the member being entitled to demand any compensation, especially in the following circumstances:
- in case of fraud, attempted fraud or theft by the members at any Sephora store and/or the website sephora.gr and/or the mobile app Sephora Greece (available for iPhone and Android);
- in case of inappropriate use or abuse of the Sephora Loyalty Programme;
- in case of actions that could disrupt the function of the website sephora.gr, of the mobile app Sephora Greece, the operation of the Sephora Loyalty Programme or the operation of stores;
- in case of any unusually high number of transactions on the same purchase day and/or over a short period of days;
- in case where a payment incident has not been settled within a period of one month as from notification by Sephora;
- in general, in case of breach of the provisions of these general terms and conditions.
Sephora assumes no liability for any and all direct or indirect consequences of any malfunctions of the Sephora Loyalty Programme. Nevertheless, in case of malfunction, Sephora shall make reasonable efforts in order for the member to retain the benefit from the collection of purchase days and points.
Finally, in case of loss or theft of the Sephora Loyalty Programme Card, you must contact the Sephora Cards Department, at the following address: “Sephora GREECE SA, 7, Dionysiou Areopagitou St, 11742 Athens, Greece”. A new card shall be sent to the member’s home address as soon as possible, and this member shall be able to keep the benefit deriving from the points they have already collected with the previous card and which have not been used.
9.1 Sephora collects information concerning the history of the member’s purchases and use of services, when the said member presents or enters the Sephora Loyalty Card number. Such collection is necessary for reviewing member eligibility for the various privileges of the Sephora Loyalty Programme and ensuring the proper implementation thereof. In addition, this information is used to send members promotions or updated or personalised advertisements, in accordance with their previous purchases and/or interests. This information is combined with information collected during interaction with other Sephora services, in order to improve the profile and the knowledge of the member.
Where members have accepted the cookies setting on the website sephora.gr or the mobile app Sephora Greece (available for iPhone and Android), such data are also combined with the browsing data. This combination allows Sephora to display targeted advertisements on the website sephora.gr and/or the mobile app Sephora Greece (available for iPhone and Android), as well as on third-party websites.
This information also allows Sephora to improve its knowledge of the member’s preferences for its own legitimate interests.
9.2 Members’ rights. Every member may, at any time, verify and/or amend his or her personal data that have been registered in their account by visiting the page “my account” at the website sephora.gr or the mobile app Sephora Greece (available for iPhone and Android).
They may also exercise their rights of access, rectification and portability:

Members can submit complaints to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr) concerning the processing of their personal data.
