Hypnôse Drama - Mascara Waterproof

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] let’s start with the packaging, it’s sleek but very light. it doesn’t have the heavy feel of a high end mascara. not a huge deal but for the price point i expected a more luxurious feel to it. the product tho, is beautiful. the wand does a great job at separating the lashes and adding volume. the formula is buildable, the photos i attached are after two coats. it’s definitely waterproof, i cried in it earlier and it didn’t run. i had to take a star off because although its minimal, it does flake. i judge products based off their claims and this isn’t supposed to be flakey. it is minimal like i said tho so not a big deal at all.

Wet lashes

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I’m usually a fan of waterproof mascara but this was a miss for me. The formula is really wet and stays wet for a while. I wasn’t a let to use it on its own without getting clumpy lashes. However I did try it as a top coat over one of my favorite non waterproof mascaras and it worked really well. It sealed perfectly and still looked good and was totally waterproof.

Difficult to use

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I have hooded eyes and this product was difficult for me to use. Because of the shape of the wand a ton of product comes out. I had to be really careful or end up with a goopy mess. If I wiped off some of the product, I was able to get buildable length, volume and curl. The waterproofing didn't hold up as well as I expected and by the afternoon a majority of that definition had disappeared.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Decent mascara - definitely waterproof and doesn't flake or smudge. It is better at volumizing than lengthening. You just have to be careful not to apply too much otherwise you will get clumpy lashes.

Good mascara but not my favorite

If you’re unsure where to start, Lash Idôle is a safe bet for most people—it’s reliable, easy to apply, and gives you that lifted, fanned-out look without the fuss.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This formula is 10/10. I loved the lengthening and separating I got from the Hypnose Drama formula. It didn’t clump or flake, lasted all day and was reasonably easy to remove for waterproof mascara. My only issue is the wand handle is kind of a weird shape and is a slippery, glossy plastic. I hope Lancôme redesigns the handle but the mascara formula is a keeper!

Amazing

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This mascara amazed me. It lifted and volumized my short, thin lashes without clumping. The bold black color and curved brush coat every lash, even tiny ones. It’s buildable for natural or glam looks and truly waterproof. I wore it on a hot, humid day, and it didn’t smudge, flake, or lose its curl. It does take a little extra effort to remove, so I’d definitely go with an oil-based remover.

Great mascara!

It’s super easy to apply and remove, but doesn’t rub off throughout the day which is amazing. I have sensitive eyes and it never irritates them, and it’s really difficult for me to find a mascara that does that.

The length after one coat is incredible!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This photo is with ONE coat! I’ve worn this mascara for a couple weeks now. I walk over 10,000 steps a day and sweat a lot. This mascara can definitely keep up! The only issue I had with it is that it can clump or go on heavier than I’d like but that’s only if I’m not careful when adding more coats. Most likely user error!

Must have waterproof mascara!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This is probably the best waterproof mascara I have tried, and I mean it when I say, it’s not clumpy! I have been trying to find a waterproof mascara since waterproof is the only type of mascara that holds the lashes curled all day. Most I have tried have been very clumpy but this hypnose mascara is very smooth, good quality and I love the applicator brush. The container/packaging it comes in is twisty and super cute and unique. Overall a great mascara and I highly recommend, has become part of my everyday routine, and my eyes are not irritated at all which is great and works well for my sensitive skin type!

I usually put on two layers and this worked great. It’s easy to apply and I love the curve of the applicator. My lashes definitely separated and made my eyelashes look like there’s more volume and my eyes really popped. I used a face mist to check the waterproof performance and it worked so well.
