Trying La Mer The Resurfacing Treatment for the first time, I wasn't sure what to expect. My experience was mixed. Application was super easy. I applied it as directed, before bed and in the morning with a cotton pad. There was a very slight tingly feeling but nothing too bothersome. The bottle is easy to use and easy to store. I feel like after regular use my skin does feel a little softer, which is nice. However I can't say that I notice much a difference other than that. Honestly for the cost of the product I was pretty underwhelmed. I would hope for the cost that I would see more impressive results. I also don't love that it effects skins ability to handle sun (you need to wear sunscreen for at least a week after use). It makes me nervous as someone who is prone to skin damage from the sun. Overall this isn't something I'd buy again. But if you're looking for just something to smooth your skin then this would probably be worth trying! Wow after 2 weeks of use , I can see a difference in my face, I'm glowing my face looks a little darker more toned and my pore's are a lot smaller than before. This product did not caused dry screen or irritation of any sort . Only smaller pore's and more toned . I'm in my 40s and I would recommend this to you .

While La Mer The Resurfacing Treatment may boast skin-nourishing ingredients, the inclusion of common irritants like eucalyptus leaf oil, clove flower extract, menthyl lactate, camphor, eugenol, hexyl cinnamal, limonene, linalool, and fragrance is a major drawback. I personally would avoid this product, as there are plenty of alternative solutions that don't pose such a high risk of potential skin stress and damage. More akin to outdated "astringents" than modern AHA/BHA toners, this treatment proved too harsh on my skin, leaving it feeling dried out. While my pores did appear "tighter" as a result, the trade-off was surface dehydration, which then required additional effort to correct with a barrier-repairing moisturizer. The lightweight, water-like texture did sink in immediately, leaving my skin feeling hydrated without any tackiness. However, there is nothing about the results of this treatment that would entice me to continue using it, given the abundance of exfoliants available that don't come with so many negative side effects. The product also has a very noticeable fragrance – a lingering mix of alcohol and warm spices, reminiscent of men's aftershave. Overall, I would not recommend this product. There are many other options that can provide the same or better results without the negative side effects I experienced.
