I tried Sephora’s Blur It Loose Setting Powder in the shade Brightening Lilac. This was my first time ever using a loose powder in a lavender tone. The pretty lilac color immediately stood out to me because it’s not something you see often in setting powders, and I was curious to see how it would look once applied to the skin. The powder comes in a compact with a small triangular powder puff included. While I understand that the puff needs to fit neatly inside the container, I personally found it to be a bit too small to use comfortably, especially for setting larger areas of the face. I couldn’t figure out how to get more powder to come out of the sifter without having to tap the jar fairly hard, which then caused too much product to fall out. I applied the powder all over my face, making sure to cover my T-zone because that is where I get the most oily. I think the Blur It Loose Setting Powder helped mattify my skin somewhat and gave a soft-blur effect that made my pores look slightly less noticeable. The finish looked smooth and lightweight rather than heavy or cakey, which I appreciated. I received this product as part of an educational promotion.

Lovely Lilac Shade!

The Sephora Collection Blur It Loose Setting Powder in the shade, 04 Brightening Lilac is a perfect addition to the Blur It Loose Setting Powder line! This shade is recommended for fair to light skin tones with neutral or warm undertones. I have a fair to light skin tone, with neutral to cool undertones, yet find this works perfectly for me! I would give the powder 5 stars, if it was more pigmented. It is a finely milled powder, and has a cute little powder puff inside, which is great for application. I also love that the powder puff fits perfectly inside the package, so it won't get lost. The lilac shade is beautiful, and works nicely when setting concealer under my eyes, or even setting with a purple blush. It is a beautiful powder, that I can't stop reaching for

Careful not to use too much!

I think I audibly squealed when I opened the packaging and saw a little poof in there. The packaging is genius because the powder doesn’t get everywhere and it holds the poof so it’s perfect for travel.

I’ve tried this blurring powder in another shade before and loved it—and this one is just as good. The packaging is cute and compact, and I actually love the little sponge it comes with. The formula is lightweight but gives the perfect soft-focus blur. I have combination skin with an oily T-zone, and this kept the shine away without feeling heavy. It sets matte but still looks natural on the skin. It honestly reminds me of a high-end powder I already use, but at a much better price point. Definitely repurchasing it

I tested the Sephora Collection Blur It Loose Setting Powder in Lilac for about a week and really liked the finish. The powder is very finely milled, sets makeup well, and gives a soft-focus blurring effect-especially around the nose and under the eyes. The lilac tone subtly brightens and helps reduce dullness without leaving a noticeable cast. It controls shine but still looks natural and skin-like, not dry or heavy. This has been the only powder I reach for every day and when I run out, I know I'll have another one in the wings because I now cannot be without. I wear lilac and although it looks intimidating in the jar, once it is on the skin it melts in seamlessly and gives a subtle brightening effect that makes my skin look more awake and balanced. You know those powders that claim to blur and it just...doesn't? Well this one not only blurs, it will cause non stop skin compliments from everyone around you. My 42 year old combination skin looks transformed and my makeup stays in place for hours without that tight or heavy feeling that some powders can give. This powder controls shine without making my face look flat or dull, and the brightening effect lasts throughout the day. There is no shimmer or pearl effect, so it looks smooth and natural in all lighting, including photos. It works well over different foundations and does not oxidize or change color on me. This is lovely

This powder is lovely to say the least. This is a new product to me since I have been so used to using a banana colored powder or just a translucent powder. It blurs wonderfully, is light weight and doesn't feel cakey. I went in with a light hand and a fluffy brush to test it at first, then tried it with the little puff that it comes with and both ways works really well. I made sure to spray some setting spray over top to make sure everything melted together and was powdery. I was a little nervous trying this color since I am brown skin girl but it worked really well, it cancels out some of my dark under eye and brightens the area. I would recommend this and this is something that would make it to my kit, I think it would be beautiful on a lot of tones.

Controls shine and make up transfer

I liked the Sephora Collection Blur It Loose Setting Powder. First, I absolutely loved the cute and practical packaging. It comes with its own powder puff, which is actually very useful and makes application convenient. It also has a small compartment to store the puff, so someone like me won't misplace it. To test it out, I whipped out the shiniest, most transfer-prone foundation I own, and it definitely did its job when it comes to mattifying. My skin looked much less shiny, and after setting, my foundation did not transfer, which was a BIG plus. The powder feels lightweight and blends into the skin easily. That said, I didn’t notice a big difference in how my pores looked. It smooths the skin overall, but the pore-blurring effect was minimal for me. Still, it sets makeup well, is easy to use and keeps shine under control. I think it’s a good option if you want a simple setting powder that mattifies and helps with makeup transfer. Blurred nose pores and more!

Lilac powders have been all over social media, and I had to try the Sephora Blur It Loose Setting Powder in 04 Brightening Lilac. This loose powder includes a built-in small finger powder puff and a flip-open lid with a soft sifter, which keeps the powder secure, neat, and not messy at all. The powder itself is very fine, weightless, and smooth. It sets makeup, mattifies, and visibly blurs pores. I’m a Fitzpatrick Type II with mature, fair skin and a pink/neutral undertone, and I felt this powder settled into my pores in all the right ways to blur them away without looking heavy. I applied it to one side of my face and fully across my nose so you could really see the pore-blurring effect, especially on the nose. It did a very nice job. While I like the lilac shade, I think the Brightening Pink may be an even better match for my light skin tone. Overall, this is a great loose powder that didn’t look cakey or settle into fine lines and it’s definitely worth the reasonable price.

Great product!

This is a great product! It absolutely within minutes blurs your pores along with smoothing and brightening your skin. It gave me a beautiful matte but brighter look to my face that I’ve been trying to get for years.

Great blurring and setting powder

I received this product as part of an educational promotion in exchange for my honest review. I'm definitely a loose powder girly, but have never used anything besides translucent or slightly tinted. I was definitely excited to try the lavender. I had a love and hate relationship with the container. Yes, it seals well, and has the flip up mesh part with a soft triangle sponge nestled on top, but I feel like you have to tap it really hard to get powder to come out. I tried it under my eyes, where I have the most discoloration, and did notice a brightening effect. it also helped tone down a foundation I had that was a tad too yellow for me. it definitely gives a nice mattifying and blurring effect, and I felt like it helped my foundation last longer than normal. I tried it with both my Fenty Pro Filter, and my Nars Radiant, and it played well with both. I would definitely recommend this powder.

Soft Blur Natural Finish and Beautiful Tone

I received this product as a part of an educational promotion in exchange for my honest review. I’m generally impressed by this powder. It’s soft purple tone is very suitable, but it gives my skin. I really bright look without appearing heavier, unnatural it blurs beautifully and smooth the appearance of my skin while still letting my natural texture show through which I love One of my favorite things is how it performs under my eye it doesn’t increase up and it doesn’t look patchy House by under eye area looks smooth throughout the day finishes, natural, lightweight, and comfortable. The slight purple tint is not overpowering at all, but it gives a nice tone correction to brighten a soften my overall look this powder gives me a clean, blurred long, lasting finish and works beautifully with my skin tone. I reach for it when I want my make up look to look smooth and bright. I would absolutely continue using this highly recommend it to anyone looking for a soft blurring powder with a natural finish
