Came crawling back to this one!

I struggle with acne-prone combination skin but tend to lean more oily. I received this as a gift about 8 months ago, and was skeptical to try it because 1.) It’s marketed for dry skin which heavier creams such as this one make me more oily, and 2.) My skin is so prone to breakouts whenever I try new products. But when I tell you this moisturizer has saved my skin, I’m not lying! I saw the difference just days after trying it. It sets in quick, doesn’t leave a heavy, sticky, or greasy feeling, and makes my skin look so hydrated. Though yes, my skin still gets oily throughout the day, it is visibly healthier than it ever has looked. My family and friends have even been telling me that my skin looks a lot better! I finally just ran out of the 1.7 oz tube, and hesitated to buy a new one because I didn’t realize how EXPENSIVE it was since it was a gift. As a budget girly, I went down a TikTok rabbit hole on affordable skincare and ended up trying out a new viral cream that was half the price of this one, and it broke me out so bad. I had small white pimples all over my forehead and cheeks that kept showing up each day I used it. So I came back to my Dr. Jart cream and after 2 days my skin is already looking so much better and calmer! I’d say it definitely surprised me as I didn’t think it would be compatible with my skin type, and now I know it’s actually worth the money.

Just ok - hate the packaging

It’s a decent moisturizer, but nothing special. Similar to a number of other products. Overpriced for what it is. But the main reason I’ve switched to something else is the packaging. I hate a screw on cap for moisturizers. Why would I want to try to fiddle with getting a screw on just right and then screwing it on with lotion all over my hands? Half the time I drop it. I’ve moved to a product with a flip cap, and I’m infinitely happier.

Holy grail

Amazing moisturizer, it’s a expensive but honestly so worth it. I always come back to it after trying different ones. The only thing my sensitive acne prone skin loves

Will buy again

I tried the First aid beauty, barrier cream in the metal tube, the Rhode barrier cream, and the Laneige intensive moisturizer, and this is the only one out of the four barrier creams (not barrier mousturizers) that does not make my skin burn. i will buy again.

First moisturiser that has given me all day moisture without looking oily it just gives the glass skin look all day and as a base to make-up doesn't make your face feel heavy.

Clogged pores

I used this for two weeks before it started breaking me out. I’m bummed because it was moisturizing but it definitely irritates my skin.

Recent Formula change

I have been using this product for two years and probably went through 5 tubes since I live in a colder climate. Recently just bought a new one a few days ago and it’s not the same. Something changed. It burns and it’s drying .
