I love the setting spray from this brand, so I figured I would give the primer a try. I've noticed that no matter what applicator I use (beauty blender, brush, etc), as soon as I put my makeup on and start blending it the makeup to peels right off.

Sweat Proof

If you deal with shine, sweat, or makeup that tends to slide off halfway through the day, this primer might just be your new best friend. The Secure The Sweat Waterproof Mattifying Primer truly delivers on its name, it locks in your makeup and keeps oil under control without that heavy, cakey feel a lot of mattifying primers have. The texture is lightweight and smooth, almost like a soft-blur filter for your skin. It instantly takes down shine and creates a velvety base that grips foundation beautifully. Despite the strong staying power, it doesn’t dry out your skin or emphasize texture.

Liked it, but broke me out

I was really excited to try this product, and my skin looked great with it on, but unfortunately it broke me out. My skin is pretty sensitive and I generally use the power grip primer from elf, which never breaks me out. With that being said, I love this brands setting spray and use it all the time!

The this if you have oily skin

Great consistency to use under makeup for even application and has a good matte finish overall. In addition, doesn’t leave skin clogged or dry so I like how comfortable it sits on the skin without causing any irritation.

No longer can use

Nice and sticky but made my makeup pill so bad I can’t use it anymore unfortunately.

Want to Love

The first time I applied this primer, it felt amazing and my make-up went on smoothly and stayed put. I decided I would buy it when my sample ran out. But then I started breaking out in all the places I used it. I tried letting my skin heal up and tried again several times and unfortunately it was always where I put the primer. Maybe if you don't have acne prone skin like I do you will love it.

Change the packaging please!

While I actually love the product, I stopped buying it because the packaging is horrendous. The product spills everywhere every time I use it and it annoys me to no end. This would be given five stars if not for the packaging

Sensitive Skin Users BEWARE

I love this brand’s setting spray, so I decided to give this primer a try! I’ve used the prime a few times over the last few months, and I followed application recommendations. Here are the positives: •This primer works, and it works very well! If you follow the recommended application steps (apply a very small amount, smooth into skin, let product sit/dry for a few min, then apply concealer or other makeup as normal.) •There is a noticeable smoothing/blur effect from this prime •I constantly have problems with my concealer creasing under my eyes, even with powder application to prevent my makeup from sliding, and this primer solved it!! •This product is definitely water RESISTANT, my face survived a 30min walk in a downpour with 40mph rain, but I don’t know if I agree that this product is sweat proof. I work as an environmental scientist, and I most certainly sweat off my makeup during the summer even with this primer and the setting spray. Overall, the primer does increase longevity of your makeup & I am still very much impressed. The Negatives: •Scent: this has a strange, sickly-sweet scent that does dry down and dissipates after putting on your makeup. •This product works almost too well. Maybe it’s how the product blurs into and over your pores or even the inclusion of squalene as an ingredient? If you are prone to cystic acne, consider finding a different product. I tested my skin’s reaction to this by applying it for one day, and then waiting 2-5 weeks in between each application as part of my makeup routine. Each time I wore this product, I ended up with painful cysts that would appear on my face/neck where I had applied the primer. I even decided to just use the primer under my under eyes, and I got cysts there as well. It is certainly not the product’s fault that I got cystic acne from using the primer, and it does not mean that the primer is a bad product- it’s actually a phenomenal product! Potentially the worst beauty product I’ve tried

I was really excited for this product, but I have never in my life been so let down. I have been using the same face routine for about a year, and swapped out my primer like 4 times (including silicone based), and I have never had anything pull like this in my life. There were so many little pills on my face, it looked like I had lint all over. My complexion products are holy grail, so unfortunately this will be getting returned ASAP. Not switching my whole routine for this.

It’s good, it did block my oiliness. It has a smell, not awful but it’s there. It can peel a little with some of my foundations. I think it just depends on the formula of the make up you are putting on top.
