Intensive Serum Foundation SPF 40

Terrible- Super Drying!

I bought this as being a serum that provides ''radiance'' I thought this would at last be a Bobbi Brown foundation suited to people possessing dry to very dry skin. I was so wrong! Immediately when I applied this to my face it felt like what little moisture I had was being sucked up- it dries down almost instantly to have a powdery effect, which is the opposite of what you want on dry skin! It left massive patches everywhere on my skin and exaggerated pores ( and thats the one thing I don't really have a big problem with)! I gave it to my sister who has the opposite skin to me ( combination to oily skin) and even she got dry patches and flakey spots. I wouldn't recommend this product to any skin type really, let alone dry skin- it gives the opposite of radiance!

Nice foundation but bad skin match

I usually use other Bobbi Brown foundations in Cool Sand and they match me well, but for some reason with this one it came out quite orange. I'm really disappointed as it's so expensive to buy. It did sit nice on the skin, it's just so much money to buy another one that would match my skin shade.

Terrible

I'm so disappointed in this foundation. I asked at the Bobbi brown counter about what foundation would suit my skin and coverage preference and after discussing (I have dry skin, wanted medium coverage with a dewy finish) the consultant recommended this. It is the opposite of what I wanted. I find it really patchy and my skin feels really dry once it is applied. I don't wear make up everyday and I've found this leaves my skin feeling dry for days afterwards. I would definitely NOT recommend this. It is very disappointing and I wish I had looked at reviews here before going with the consultant's suggestion.

Not great at all

Sadly wouldn't recommend this foundation at all. I have a high end skincare regime, (a leading brand Vitamin C base, eye cream and then moisturiser in the morning) - nothing too extensive or rich. However this foundation piles instantly and doesn't set at all. It wipes off at any stage throughout the day even with an expensive setting spray. I tried to wear it with my usual serum underneath and that was a total no go - but even on its own it piles and flakes off my face. Really disappointed and regret spending such a lot for it. Would not buy again.

Looks cakey and cheap

I'm really surprises to learn that such an expensive foundation looks worse than many cheaper products that I used in the past... I hoped this foundation would help me achieve a natural look and good coverage but it looks horrible on the face and there is almost no coverage! The products doesn't stay in place and gets stuck in all lines and pores (most of it was gone from my face by midday anyways! ). Very disappointed with the quality of this product, it was such a waste of money

A lovely foundation

This is a really lovely formula, my skin feels hydrated and comfortable. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong shade (porcelain), and should have instead ordered cool ivory, unfortunately I was going away for the weekend when it arrived so I pumped a fair amount into my little travel pot so i'm sure I can no longer return. But this is a lovely foundation and I highly recommend. It's quite sheer but I don't mind that and I love the high SPF. When I can, I shall reorder in the correct colour.

However the colour seems to change on skin as time goes on, coverage is light but flakes and goes very patchy makes me look like I've wore thick make up as it flakes and gets stuck in every line and pore on my face! Would not recommend it was a complete waste of money I can not get away with wearing it

What is happening to Bobbi Brown?

What is happening to the brand? It used to be my absolute go to brand and loved all products that I tried. In the last 12 months the brand is is running out of stock on main staples such as serum foundation and brow definer, there is no tinted moisturiser- it's such a shame. It's forcing me to lol to other brands such as Laura Mercier which previously I would never do. On top of it all, a 20%offer is applied and there's nothing to buy!!!

Disappointing

I decided to treat myself to this foundation, and it's far more expensive than my usual brand. I am very disappointed with it, and wish I had read the reviews beforehand. It provides almost no coverage and seems to make my skin look worse than before application. I wish I hadn't wasted my money.

Disappointing

I'm sorry to say that I found this product really disappointing. It goes on ok but by the afternoon it had become patchy and felt really dry. It highlighted every pore and wrinkle on my dry skin. I've now switched to a foundation which is a third of the price and lasts all day.
