weird smell but goes away once dry

application is easy, and the formula absorbs well. it has a distinct smell thats honestly kinda bad but it goes away once it absorbs all the way. hopefully it helps me grow my hair fuller and faster!

Love using scalp longevity cream.

This product feels absolutely revitalizing to the scalp. I get my hair colored and the scalp will feel dry and itchy. When I put this on the scalp and massage it in it actually feels as it the product just gave me a super healthy scalp. I like using it at night after massage so it can help all night.

Fishy Smell

I agree with other reviews that this has a horrific smell and was so disappointed when I put this on freshly washed hair. It has a horrific fishy smell

Awful smell

Unfortunately only used it once so can’t speak on its effectiveness but this product REEKS! It smells like dirty sweaty hair. Not ideal for putting it in right after wash day.

So far it great

First use and I have high expectations. I color my hair every 4-6 weeks it's gray. My scalp has gotten tight, dry and itchy no flakes. Also thinning. I decided to use it as an overnight treatment on dry sort of dirty hair. Tomorrow is was day. My scalp feels soothed, less tight,moist but not greasy - and the dry itchiness is gone. I can't wait to wash and try on wet hair, and see how the next few weeks progress.

Meh…. Not for a sensitive & oily scalp

This product made my scalp itchy and oily. I didn’t bother to return it… I gave the left over to my friend to see if it works better for her, but no luck.

Very Effective

I love how soothing this feels on my scalp, my scalp used to be tight and dry, but this hydrated it. My hair grew an extra inches in just 2 weeks, I also noticed new growth on my bald spots. Would have given it a 5 but the smell can really be off, but overall it’s a very good product 💯

Healthy Scalp, Happy Hair

I've been using the Olaplex Scalp Longevity Treatment for about a month now. I apply it after washing my hair, massaging it gently into my scalp, and leave it on overnight. The formula is incredibly lightweight, absorbs quickly, and never leaves behind any greasy or sticky residue. It has a clean, refreshing scent that makes the whole experience feel soothing and spa-like. After several weeks of consistent use, I’ve noticed a visible difference—my scalp feels more balanced and nourished, and my hair is softer, shinier, and much easier to manage. There’s significantly less dryness and buildup, and my overall scalp health feels improved. It’s such a simple step, but it delivers noticeable results. I believe this treatment is helping to strengthen, protect, and revitalize my hair from the root up. Product was received as part of an educational promotion.

Unfortunately not ideal for my hair

Product was received as part of an educational promotion. The Olaplex Scalp Longevity Treatment serum is, ultimately, only alright for me. I want to preface my review by saying that I have very thick, oily, minimally-damaged/dyed hair and have really bad dandruff that only reacts to ketoconazole (in which I still have minor flaking). I used this serum in a few different ways, mostly on dry hair (post-washing) and more heavily as a mask before washing. After using this serum for a few weeks, I can't say that I would repurchase this or enthusiastically use the rest. I found that, regardless of how much I used, my scalp was consistently more oily after using this product. I typically wash my hair every 3-4 days, but I began having to wash my hair every 2 days. I also did not notice a difference in my dandruff. The serum didn't make it worse, but I still had the same tiny flakes. Finally, I also didn't notice much of a difference in my overall hair health. This may be different if used for months, but I really do not think that my hair changed much beyond just being a little more oily. All of this being said, I did enjoy the consistency of the product and the packaging. The serum is very watery and absorbs quickly, while the packaging allows for the serum to be applied directly to the scalp without leaking. I also really appreciated the fact that the amount of product being dispensed was easy to control. Overall, I think this product might be better suited for damaged or dry hair and sensitive scalps.

So for starters I have a pretty dry scalp and skin in general, I always have and this seemed like the perfect product for me to test out! I love the design of the product especially the tip to get precise application on areas you want and don’t want, there is also no scent which is good because some prefer it that way. The treatment on your scalp is so nice and soothing and cooling. I really did start to see a major difference in my scalp within days of using this product. All of a sudden my scalp looked healthier, there weren’t as many flakes laying around on my scalp or stuck in my hair anymore. Most importantly my scalp felt fresh and renewed after only using the product for about two weeks I would say! So I would absolutely refer this to anyone!

Great packaging

My favorite thing about this product is its packaging. The tip that dispenses the serum works great and allowed it to reach my scalp through my thick and wavy hair. I liked how it did not waste product and did not get messy. I divided my hair into several sections to start and then applied from there. After that, I massaged it in and let it sit to do its magic. The texture is lightweight, almost serum-like, and it absorbs quickly, without leaving any greasy or sticky residue. There’s a subtle scent, slightly herbal and clean, but nothing overpowering. It smells similar to other Olaplex products. I gave this product four stars, because it’s not the absolute best product I’ve had for dry scalp and flakes are still present. There are still many great, beneficial things about it though.
