Overrated in my opinion $$$

It shimmers which is not good for mature skin, especially around the eyes. I purchased this with the impression it was the almighty powder to have! Nope…returned it the next day. Not for me!

why is it shimmery?

so i always wanted this powder because i saw it being praised by multiple celebrities and influencers and because i love la mer over all, so when i turned 18 i decided to splurge and buy the powder and it was not what i expected, first of all the packing is absolutely beautiful it looks very luxurious and expensive which i love and the powder it self its very soft and the powder particles are really really small, so it blends into the skin very easily and becomes seamless and it’s also very brightening. this product would be 5 stars if it wasn’t for the added shimmer, why would they add shimmer to a product that’s supposed to be mattifying. it’s not just a little tho like it’s very obvious and other comments have pointed this out.

Love the smooth application

Wry happy with this powder, and I do think it’s worth the price. It doesn’t look cakey, I have used it with the Lamer Soft fluid foundation and with Haus Labs new foundation.

I do not know what this product has in it or how it works but my skin is flawless with every application. I am in love!!!

Worth the Splurge!

I absolutely love this powder... makeup stays all day, without creasing.

conflicted…

So I’m conflicted. Whenever I use it, no matter most little or how much powder I use, I feel drier than a mummy’s hoo hoo dilly, even on a pretty moisturized based. However, hours later when I look at mirror, my skin looks gooooooooooood. It has a slight pink sheen and my skin looks fabulous but it doesn’t feel great. I’ve used powders from Fenty or Pat McGrath that feel much better and do the same thing that all powders do; blur pores. So I dunno…if you have the coin and don’t mind being let down and feel dry, go for it?

Move on to another powder....

I used La Mer powder for years and I was especially fond of shade number 2. It was a light powder with flawless, creamy coverage. The product had mass adoration and approval. For some reason La Mer discontinued the entire line and reformulated their translucent powder so it is now the only loose powder. They also changed the packaging to a glass jar and give the consumer a fraction of the powder that was in the previous formulation and they raised the price significantly. This powder has a white cast and too much sparkle to it. I can't imagine what the good reviews for it are for. Now the LaMer pressed powder on the other hand still retains shade selection and a fantastic natural looking coverage with the most beautiful neutral shades to select from. Money would be better spent on the pressed powders by far. Using a little bit goes a long way on the pressed powder to avoid any dryness. Don't bother with this loose version at all.....better off with other brands for loose powder like By Terri, Clinique, or Rimmel London's beautiful pressed powders.

Like literally the best

I know this is hella expensive but i'm telling you guys this powder is something else. I am very pale so I was actually a little concerned when I saw the powder color, worried it was gonna darken my foundation and make me look weird. But I was wrong! It's completely translucent and the powder even has a very soft, minimal shimmer to it! It gives your skin that extra radiance look while still being matte! This is my holy grail powder and it goes onto the skin so smoothly with a nice fluffy brush. It lasts a good minute, maybe a year for me but possibly 4-6 months for someone who wears makeup almost everyday. You guys ever feel powders go on and for some reason your foundation is still wet and transfers? I don't know what special powers this powder has but just one tap with a fluffy brush and it just sinks into the skin and mattifies it completely!

Stunning Powder

The best loose powder! It doesn’t make my skin greasy or oily over time. I have combination skin, so I am kinda picky with any type of powder or foundation. The powder is finely mill and has tiny particles shimmer too. I love it how it gives a subtle illuminating effect.

I love this powder. I can set my makeup and not look cakey or powdery. It has some kind of shimmer in it but it’s Not chunky glitter, it gives the face and areas your powder with a glowy finish. The powder is so finely milled, it’s like putting a thin layer of powder. It gets the job done. The packaging is very lux and sturdy

Perfect loose powder

This powder works very well. It kept my face from being oily, even in this Texas heat. A little goes a long way and it goes not give a white cast.

Not for me

This powder was a bust for me. I expected much more from La Mer. I have combo skin, & this does not work for my t-zone. It also doesn’t set my makeup well. Won’t buy again.
