I'm in love!

I was so excited to open the box - and boy it didn't disappoint! The box is delightful, the addition of the phone holder in the lid is great - at first I didn't understand but once I started using the product I used it every time. The feel of the new styler is beautiful, it feels so luxurious to hold. The styler is bluetooth and connects to your phone. I tool the simple quiz to determine my hair type and the app created a bespoke curling regime for me. The curling routine is incredible - I couldn't quite believe how easy it made curling my hair! As a long time user of the original Airwrap, I assumed the only way it could be improved is with different attachments, I was so wrong! The bluetooth element is amazing, it automatically detects the attachment and adapts the air flow and heat to suit. Just takes all the guess work out of it! The way the ID curl programmes and cycles through the wrap / style / cool cycle works brilliantly. Some some large pieces I ran the cycle twice to ensure my hair was fully dry. The volumising brush blew me away, I used it to get volume at the roots when doing a straight blow out, and was super impressed by the lift and the hold. It is so different to the smoothing brush in the original. The straightening tool is brilliant - it straightens and smooths effectively without the heat. To see the full effect (I am assuming lack of breakage / heat damage etc from straightenrs), I would need to use it for an extended period, but I can see how this would work as my hair wasn't hot after using. Again, the device changes the settings to suit the attachment (in this instance, low speed and high heat). The 'quick dry' attachment is definitely speedier than previous models, super effective. All in all, I am so impressed. 5 stars all round!

Better than my old Dyson Airwrap!

As someone who already has a non I.d Dyson hair styler, I can really feel a difference! The Dyson Co-anda2x had really good air flow/ pressure. Drying my hair with the drying attachment had taken half the time it does with the older Dyson Airwrap. I also like that there is cold air function for drying. If the previous airway, I had to hold up a ‘cold shot’ button. I have straight hair that struggles to hold volume and curls. Whilst Dyson Co-anda2x did not make my curls last flawlessly all day, it certainly did perform much better than my older Airwrap. The curls did last a bit longer. I think the app functionality with setting the Airwrap based on my hair type has helped with this too. With the curling attachment, I just wish a barrel was a little bit longer. I do hope Dyson comes up with long hair version of the Co-anda2x. I am also pleased with the new design of the round brush. I find it pulls my hair much less! The straightening attachment is a big plus. I find it is not as effective as Dyson Airstrait, but still does a good job. Overall, I think the differences are noticeable and I think it is worth an upgrade if you have previously only used the older versions of the Airwrap without I.d functionality.

So much better than the second generation. The attachments are fantastic. The power is amazing and dries your hair super quickly.

Amazing new Airwrap co-anda 2x and Chi To San

I absolutely love the new Airwrap! It dries my hair so much faster than my old one, cutting my styling time in half. The app is a great idea, it’s really easy to use, simple to connect, full of handy tricks and tips and I love that it remembers my preferred styling settings with each tool. The updated attachments are fantastic. The air smooth 2x feels like straightening my hair but without the heat damage and the new round volumising brush is a big improvement over the older bristle version, it grips and styles beautifully. I also like how the app suggests the best heat and drying speed for my hair when using the curling barrel. Although, I found them slightly tricker to use than my old airwrap, the new single adjustable barrel is a high plus, it’s easier to travel with and saves more time by not having to switch barrels back and forth. Drying time has definitely improved, it dries my thick hair in about half the time, which makes getting ready much easier and faster. I also tried the new Chi To San spray and I absolutely love it. It made my hair so soft and silky and helped styles last for days. It works perfectly with the airwrap and I used both mostly everyday to style and dry my hair. Even between washes, a quick spray refreshed my style without leaving it greasy and works so well with the airwrap. Overall, I am really impressed with both the new Airwrap and the spray, they make styling effortless, quick and long-lasting. Thank you, Dyson.

Dries hair quickly and versatile

I've used the styler every day since having it. I usually wear my hair straight and tried the hairdryer alone and the hairdryer followed by the straightening tool to achieve this. The straightening tool definitely made my hair straighter than hairdryer alone but not quite like using straighteners. I also used it to create a curly style which was effective and long lasting. Much better than anything I've tried before. I liked having lots of tools to try out but not all of them were suitable for my straight chin length hair. I think my go to would be hairdryer, straightening tool and 30mm curler. I found the set up of the curl id really quick and straightforward and the practise tutorial was very helpful meaning I could use the curling feature confidently straight away. It was easy to see how I could adjust the settings if needed and I think it's good that you have the control so you can adjust the temperature and it will adjust the time appropriately. The design is simple and it's easy to switch attachments but I missed having directional adjustment on the hairdryer as this meant I could end up in awkward positions to get the airflow directed down the hair shaft but it did dry my hair really fast compared to other hairdryers. Overall I think this would a product best suited to someone with longer hair who wants a versatile styling product with the ability to create long lasting curls. Versatility in your hand

The Dyson Airwrap Co-anda 2x is packaged well in a sturdy and attractive outer case. The model itself is an appealing product and very lightweight to hold and use. It is a versatile product, with many attachments, which means you don’t need to reach out for any brushes, hairdryers, straighteners at the same time. I used this model every other day for styling and drying, and used all the attachments provided; straightener, curler, waver, smoother and volumiser. I must admit it is a much better multi styler than other products I have used. I found the settings and buttons very easy to use, compared to the previous models used. The hairdryer itself is very powerful and dries my hair very quickly. The curler curls well and quickly, and I found there were no tangles when curling. One thing I really liked was being able to change the direction of the curls, just by a twist of the upper attachment. The attachments themself are very easy to remove and change which is a bonus. The only thing I found which could be improved is the cord could be longer to reach further and the plug could be smaller, to fit around other plugs and tight spaces.

Your phone controls. You style

I unpacked the airwrap and familiarised myself with all the different attachments. I used the hairdryer dried to about 70%, then the barrel brush to add body. Very effective. I set my phone up for the practice on the small Coanda barrel first and what can I say I don’t have to keep changing temperatures and pressing buttons I can concentrate on achieving the perfect curl, my hair was grabbed by the barrel a lot better than the original airwrap and curling was so easy. Used on unwashed hair got a better curl set. The only problem I had was the air smooth attachment I couldn’t work it out it wouldn’t grab my hair I don’t know if it’s because my hair is very fine but my sister tried it and she had the same issue. I’m not giving up with it I’m seeing my niece to try it on her hair. The technology this uses on my phone is absolutely amazing and it’s lighter than the original. I like the different attachments and the design is fantastic

A Great Upgrade!

I recently tried the new Dyson Airwrap Coanda 2x™ across different hair types – thin, thick and long, and naturally wavy – to really see how it performed. Overall, it’s an impressive upgrade from the original Airwrap, though some attachments worked better on certain hair types than others. What Dyson Promises vs. My Experience 1. Coanda Smoothing Dryer This attachment is designed to dry hair quickly while also smoothing flyaways. On all hair types, I found it worked well for rough-drying before styling. However, without using the new Dyson styling spray, hair sometimes ended up a little frizzy, especially on wavier textures. With the spray, the smoothing effect was much more noticeable and long-lasting. 2. Straightening Brushes (Soft and Firm Smoothing Brushes) These are meant to align and straighten hair while reducing frizz. I found the straightening brush to be excellent on thick, long hair – it gave a sleek finish with minimal effort. On thinner hair, it wasn’t quite as effective, as it sometimes left the hair looking a little flat rather than smooth and polished. 3. Airwrap Barrels (for Curling and Volumising) The curling barrels use the Coanda effect to wrap hair around and create curls without extreme heat. On thin hair, they worked brilliantly – the curls held beautifully and looked bouncy. On thicker hair, however, the curls didn’t hold as well, even when using the Dyson spray. They tended to drop after a short while, which was disappointing considering this is one of the Airwrap’s main selling points. 4. Round Volumising Brush This is designed to add volume and shape to hair, especially at the roots. I found it worked nicely on normal wavy hair, giving a salon-like blow-dry effect. It’s definitely better when paired with styling products, as otherwise the volume didn’t always last. Overall Thoughts The Dyson Airwrap Coanda 2x™ is a very versatile styling tool and a clear step up from the original version. I loved how much easier it is to switch between attachments, and the overall design feels more powerful and efficient. The straightening brush on thick hair and the curling barrels on thin hair were real highlights for me. That said, it’s worth noting that the results do vary depending on hair type, and for best results I’d strongly recommend using the Dyson spray or a similar styling product – it helps with grip, reduces frizz, and makes the finish look more polished. Final Verdict This is an amazing product and a big upgrade from the last Dyson Airwrap, but it shines differently depending on your hair type. If you have thin hair, the curling attachments are outstanding. If you have thick hair, the straightening brush will be your best friend. With the right prep products, it delivers salon-quality results at home – but without them, some frizz and lack of hold can creep in.

Big Investment - worth it

I have been a long time user of Dyson hair stylers. I use the dryer, flat iron and the original Air wrap styler. I recently invested in the air wrap co-amda2x multi styler…and wow the improvements are amazing. There is more power, the curls last longer, and the smoothing attachment really works well! I wish the “power box” on the cord was smaller and lighter - this is not an easy tool to travel with : ( Even the shape of the “handle” is more of an oval shape vs round; making the grip a better fit in your hands. The dryer attachment is as powerful as my full size Dyson dryer. Very pleased with my purchase

Busy Mom Approved...Even in Georgia Humidity!

I have had this for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it! I am not what you would call high maintenance. My husband and I are in a busy season of life, constantly running kids around, so I just needed something quick and easy to get me ready. I was worried it might feel too advanced for someone who doesn't do much with their hair, but it has been incredibly simple to use. I have medium-to-long hair, and while I have a lot of it, it is fine, wavy, and frizzy (especially in the Georgia heat) rather than curly. This tool dries my hair in no time, and then I can either curl it the rest of the way or use the straightening and smoothing attachment for a sleek look. Either way, my style lasts for days with just a touchup here and there. I also love the Curl ID technology in the app because I would have no idea how long to apply heat or when to use a cool shot on my own. As a first-time Dyson owner, I was impressed by how easy the design is to use. The attachments snap on and off effortlessly, and flipping the knob on the curling attachment to change curl direction is so convenient. My daughters love it too, and I hope to add the curly hair attachments in the future for my youngest, who has a full head of crazy curls! This is definitely a great purchase that I know we will be using for years to come!
