At first I thought it was strange that I was to use this product FIRST and then shampoo, i.e., why am I going to put this on and then wash away what I just did. I mean... it doesn't entirely make sense, right? But trust me, it works beautifully! It helps strengthen and protect ahead of the cleansing and conditioning steps. I have very thin and fine hair and this entire product line has made a world of difference for me. Try it and give it time to work - you won't be sorry.

Worth giving it a try

I have 2c-3a curls that get very dry in the summer and after using this treatment only once I was shocked at how soft it made my hair. While it is a bit pricey for the amount of product and I have not yet tried using it consistently as recommended, I do think that it is a great purchase if you are looking to hydrate your hair.

It's a NO for me

It's a no for me. I used No. 3 twice and each time I had concerns about the results. I followed the directions by applying it before shampoo and left it in for 10 minutes. After shampoos and conditioner my hair is hard and I've had more hair on my comb than ever. I have 3c hair. The ends of my hair are dry and hard. It's not for me. I tried it twice.

Makes My Hair Look Thicker

My old, fine hair just plain looks better after I use this! I only leave it on for about 15 minutes, and that seems to be adequate.

Seems moderately effective. In what world should people be spending these ridiculous amounts on these TINY products. So annoyed by how this world is and what people value: I want to be FAMOUS. I want to be SUPER RICH. That's all that's important: FAME & $$$ I'm tired of these values. What happened to this world? I do continue to use the stuff, so I'm as bad as everyone else.

Don’t buy!

Very bad product, one time used and my hair is damaged so bad. Don’t buy it!!!! In My scalp also hurt!

Strengthens Hair

The second my mom saw this she picked it up and added it to my order. She is a double cancer survivor and she is so brave. But during treatment, she suffered from hair loss. Her hair has never truly recovered. She really likes it and her hair looks thicker!

Amazing when used properly

I can tell by the the negative reviews that the poor experiences are coming from people that 1) aren’t using this correctly or 2) don’t know what kind of repair their hair needs. If your hair needs hydration and doesn’t need protein, any olaplex will be bad for your hair. Adding protein to non-protein deficient hair will leave your hair dry, harden the strands, and cause breakage. If your hair does need protein, olaplex is gold standard. Tip, if olaplex dries out your hair, K18 will probably work better for you. Research the different ways in which they each heal your hair and figure out what works best for you. I have naturally dry skin and hair, and I also frequently dye and/or bleach my hair so I use both treatments on alternating weeks. (olaplex 0 & 3 one week, K18 the next week). I also do not use treatment products every single wash. Unless your hair is incredibly damaged, you shouldn’t be using this product every wash. It’s really not meant to be used more than once a week. When used properly, this is an amazing tool/step in my hair care routine.

not the same

when this first came out it was great( if you used it correctly ) now it has changed..it smells horrible and is no where near the results you used to get. will look for something else.as usual in beauty a great thing is always altered

It has lilial in it which is a banned substance in the Uk - I took a risk. I already had breakage from over coloring my hair. I was using natural oils for two months and it helped. I wanted to speed up the process so I bought olaplex no.3. I read the good reviews and the bad reviews. I figured since I have already damaged hair it would work. First use it did work, but I noticed breakage immediately. Returned it. Now on day six and my hair is still weird. It’s soft and shiny But breakage at the same time. I have really dried, ends and my roots are soft and oily for some reason.I think it’s because of the water-based alcohol they load it with. And also the ingredient Lilial that is banned in the UK, could be causing issues as well. My hair is soft and shiny, but it’s lifeless and still breaking. I’m hoping it wears off in the next 2 or 3 weeks. I’m going back to natural oils and alcohol-fee shampoo and conditioners. I should’ve known any type of alcohol is just bad in general. Regret using olaplex. My hair texture went from thick to soft and limp - hoping it wears off. And I have read ppl have come back from it. You just have to do a lot of steps and baby your hair

Top 1 product for my bleached hair. i am using it before washing my hair. Using it on my ends for 10 to 20 mins, my ends are healthy, my hair is growing and it is not dry! Love it!

Dont waste your money this does not anything to your hair.
