Sheer Glow Foundation

Macao sheer glow is no longer the same color!

I've used Macao off and on for over 10 years and this color is not the same! There is now a difference whether they want to admit it or not. It is literally a touch darker with a kind of orangey red. It is no longer the olive (olive yellow on me) they describe and show in the pictures. It also does slightly have a name change because the site goes back and forth between Macao Med/Dark 4 (in the images and the match your current shade option) which is the original and then now Macao Med/Deep 4 (in the drop down menu and on the product I recently received). Also the bottom of the bottle base perimeter is slightly different though that part doesn't matter. I was hearing sheer glow was being discontinued (and nars literally showed it as last chance a week ago) which is why I bought it for the holidays. But instead due to the shade discrepancy I now truly have to look for another foundation earlier than I thought. Which is so unfortunate because it's an awesome foundation. It feels great on the skin, doesn't look cakey, and even looks like skin depending how applied. So I did give it away to my step mom who it now suits better since it has the hint of red in this version. Unless just maybe I'd be able to use another shade in this sheer glow line, otherwise I would no longer recommend this to someone if the shades are now inconsistent. Left is my original, Right is weird new off shade.

NEVER GET RID OF THIS!!!

I'm IN LOVEEEEE!!!! NEVER GET RID OF THIS THIS FOUNDATION IS AMAZING!!!!!! My skin is dry my friend is oily and it works so good feels like real skin without clogging your face like heavy duty cake frosting. There's nothing else like this seriously! And you don't need much! There's so much products saturating the market. You don't need none of that don't change what's NOT BROKEN.... Try out different things. Sure but this is actual skin! LOVE IT THANK YOU NARS

Dissatisfied

I am completely dissatisfied with this product. I have used this exact product before but something about this bottle isn't right. It doesn't blend well. Every time I blend it out it leaves dots or streaks all over. I usually love nars foundations but I am disappointed with this one.

NARS Sheer Glow foundation

I cannot find a color match in this formula. I really wanted this sheer glow foundation but I either end up with a yellow color or an orange color. It's disheartening.

Holy Grail Foundation

This is my favorite foundation of all time. I don't have to mix colors to get it right. It's just the right shade (mine is Montblanc) and the right finish. They don't carry it at the stores anymore so I go out of way to buy it here. Even without setting spray or primer, I've been told after a 12-hour shift that my makeup looks "exactly the same" and "amazing." Please do not ever discontinue this. It's perfection in a bottle.

Hands down my favorite foundation down to the undertones, application and finish!! Great longevity and I always appreciate companies who include the moselt intricate tones and shades. Much Love!!!
