Very hard texture

Using the brush and nothing goes on it. Supper hard texture.

Did not work for me

I usually like the tarte products. But not this one. I bought it because it was supposed to help cover up your oily skin. This did not do that for me. My face looked no different after applying this powder. It definitely did not help with my shine. It was a waste of my money.

Bad Batch?

The sample in store felt so smooth silky, but the one I bought was super dry and hard to use. I even exchanged it for another, but it was the same.

Not enjoying

Compared to other finishing powders this one is difficult to use and does not evenly go on. Prefer the Sephora brand over this any day.

Looking flawless

Wow. I have used other high end name brands setting powders, but this one is awesome !

I heart tarte

I’ve been using this powder for several years. Great setting powder especially if you are locking in layers of make up. Goes on light but instantly turns matte. At least for me, does not cause breakouts. Tarte Amazonian Clay products have been a god send for my oily skin.

Solid product

A great product, but I find loose setting powder helps my makeup stay put better.

Meant for Oily Skin

I use this over SPF and tinted moisturizer. Also great w foundation. Don’t understand the hate lol I love it since it keeps me pretty matte compared to other powders. I just carry it in my makeup bag w an extra brush. Much easier to travel with than the loose powder I think. Doesn’t make me break out and doesn’t leave a white cast. If it does, try diffusing w a finishing powder and always spray your face with whatever you use in your routine. To balance the matte I use the Glow watermelons one - mostly to help bring back some life vs locking makeup in.

Solid Finishing Setting Powder

I switched to this from Laura Mercier Translucent Pressed Setting Powder and it was a pretty lateral move. I really like how it locks in makeup and doesn’t make my foundation set into lines or creases. It does have a matte finish, which, if you’re going for a dewy look, probably won’t work. I’m happy with it but I can see myself trying something else but that’s only because I’m impetuous. If you want a solid setting powder I totally recommend this.

Not as good as the original loose powder

Bought this to carry in purse for my super oily skin. The compact has NO place to store the brush, which is gross to me. The pressed powder doesn’t stay on no matter what kind of applicator tool I use. Despite multiple layers of this, my makeup runs and my skin is oily. My foundation & blush are also powders, so my makeup isn’t the issue. Highly disappointed. I’ll reorder the original loose powder next time.

All Time Favorite

I have been using this powder for almost 2 years now and I can’t find a powder that is better than this one. It is compact, easy to travel with, sets your face without leaving too much of a mess, and leaves a nice natural finish. I keep trying to venture out but always go back to this. The only thing is when you first get it you have to press a little harder to get product on your brush but other than that, I highly recommend.

This is good for softening your overall look and blurring imperfections. I can’t say it helps control my oil at all, but I love the way it finishes my look.
